Thelymitra villosa – Custard Orchid

Although this species has similar large yellow flowers to the Leopard Orchid, Thelymitra benthamiana and Freckled Sun Orchid, T. sargentii the distinctive shape of its column and its broad, short leaf should leave little doubt as to its identity, particularly as it is the only Western Australian Sun Orchid to have a hairy leaf.

    We have a large patch of of dark pink Lemon Scented Sun Orchids, are these hybrids of the yellow varieties?
